Today, wherever you look, people want to know how the weather will affect them — whether they taking a yacht out to sea; planning to take the children out for a day out, or simply hanging out the washing. A range of individual services which the Government has agreed serve the 'public good', whether for the safety of the public at large or for information in general. Every year UK companies lose thousands of pounds because of the vagaries of the weather — from late or absent staff, delayed deliveries, surplus or insufficient stock to cancellation of projects. |
